Thai Language Basics
These are given in English, Thai and an approximate pronunciation of the
Thai.
****It seems particularly harsh that two words with completely opposite meanings sound almost exactly the same, with only the tone differentiating them, but that's the way it is. It's made easier by the fact that "near" glâi is almost always said twice, while "far" glai never is.

Do you think you could make a listen button for each word so I (and everyone else) could hear how each word is pronounced?

Hi there,
I had the greatest pleasure in discovering your page.
Only maybe one thing to add (unless I missed it somewhere). It might be good to add a page where you explain how to pronounce the certain accents you use in the writing down of the words in our western alphabet.
To explain if the tone should go up or down, long or short. It would help people a lot to get it right. Because as you say somewhere on these pages...some words are practically the same, only have different pronounciation and often a very different meaning.
Never the less, I liked this page and will certainly use it a lot.
